Tylonians are tall, pale skinned and flame-haired people who live in the cold Mountain Realm in the north of Asteria. They are stoic, tough and boisterous people, ruled by a Sovereign, whose heir or daughter have intermarried with the Islenian ruling line for generations.
The men are large, broad of shoulder and heavily muscled, and are savage fighters with both long sword and axe. The women are also warriors, and train with lighter two-handed Irian blades. The symbol of the Mountain Realm is the running red bear, which is etched onto chest and arm plates of silver Tylonian armour or stitched into tunics of grey wool, cloaked by blood red mantles. Their architecture is dominated by grey stone forts and castles, and their massive mountains are covered by snow all year.
The Tylonians show respect for superiors by giving a Tylonian full bow of deference, crossing both arms in front, lowering to one knee and tucking the head. A Tylonian half-bow is a cross of arms and tip of head only and is used in less formal occasions. Ilusterum, the Sword of Starlight, was passed down for generations through the Tylonian Sovereign's family. Dorien, the second, is Guardian of the Land and Mountain Realm.
